Scope & Content |
The Romeo Peach Festival Oral History collection offers researchers a unique historical perspective of the Romeo Peach Festival. Starting in 2024, the Romeo Community Archives interviewed various attendees at the Romeo-Washington-Bruce Parks & Recreation Romeo Community Center during the festival itself. These are meant to enrich the understanding of the Romeo Peach Festival as well as to explore its history and traditions and what it means to people. The interviews are conducted with the consent of the attendees themselves by having them sign a release form. These interviews are made on a yearly basis and will accluminate into the festival's 100th Anniversary in 2031. Each item consists of an interview with an individual.
