Scope & Content |
Sue Poosch donated photos of her family at the Romeo Community Archives Scanning Party in November 2025. They span from 1910 to 1943. Her grandmother Marguerite Giddings went to Olivet College (now The University of Olivet) in the early 1910s, while her grandfather Charles T. Bradley studied at the Michigan Agricultural College (Michigan State University) at the same time. They married in 1915 and had ten children: Jean, Barbara, Charles Jr. aka "Bud," George, Allan, Lawrence aka Larry, Robert aka Bob, Doris, Richard, and Gail. Jean is Sue's mother. Charles Sr. built the home that the Bradleys resided at on 129 Minot Street around 1919. Sue's uncles "Bud," George, Allan, Larry, and Bob enlisted before or during World War II. Charles Sr. died on December 19, 1943, while "Bud" was killed on January 17, 1945 while overseas. Bradley Street in Romeo is named after the latter. |
